CONTEXT is a forum for informal and formal educators, administrators, and community organizations to consider thoughtful implementation of technology and data in learning environments.
Ashley joined the Sevenzo team with six years of experience working side by side with educators in the Pittsburgh Public Schools to ensure their voice was part of shaping district policies. She used human-centered design strategies to understand policy implementation at the classroom level. She’s passionate about serving educators who dedicate each day to ensuring students are successful. As the director of programs, Ashley is responsible for co-designing a program strategy with the team and supporting partnerships with districts to help them diffuse great practices. She’s excited about the intersection of design and social innovation, and the opportunities design brings to educators.
Prior to her time with PPS, Ashley worked for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Pittsburgh, and taught Montessori in South America. While at PPS, she served as a Strategic Data Fellow through Harvard University She is a graduate of Hobart and William Smith College, and is currently earning a Master’s Degree in Design from Carnegie Mellon University.
Ashley lives in Pittsburgh, PA with her fiance Dan and their dog, Moose.
